'Hearth Stool' made from Reclaimed Oak

£135.00

This diminutive but beautiful hearth stool has been made from a single, very old, reclaimed oak board.

The characterful seat has an understated, decorative edge, held up by four, slightly tapering octagonal legs, made from the same timber.

Underneath, you’ll find two small strips of salvaged iron fixed securely to the thick oak with hand forged rose head nails; a pre-emptive repair made to reinforce an end grain split at each end. In my opinion, adding charm to this already charming piece of new old furniture…even if for some reason, you happen to be underneath it!
