Welsh Style 'Stick Chair' Rustic Paint Finish
Intentionally ‘primitive’ with obvious tooling marks and hand whittled components. The scooped seat has been carved from a 1.75” thick reclaimed elm plank and the comb crafted from a naturally curving ash log. The four tapered legs are also carved from ash using axe & drawknife while the spindles and arm rests have also been whittled from reclaimed oak using only hand tools. All tenons are firmly held in place with a hardwood wedge. The reclaimed wood used plus its worn paint & wax finish gives this sturdy little stick chair a well used and much loved appearance, like it’s heard a fair few fireside tales over the years.
Seat height 14.5” width 21”, depth 15.5”
Total height 29” width 22”
