A Cute Little Spoon, Inspired By The Traditional Welsh ‘Dolphin Spoon’
Viewed from above, it looks like any other eating spoon but viewed from the side, the curved dolphin’s back and tail is revealed! Apparently, to be a traditional dolphin or fish back spoon, the tip of the bowl, the highest point of the ridge and the tip of the tail should all be in a straight line. Doesn’t mention anything about being able to balance on an apple though…
This one has been carved from spalted birch, has a tooled finish, sealed with walnut oil and baked in the oven to strengthen and darken.
